William Gaines

William V. "Will" Gaines II, 38, of Pataskla, OH, formerly of Elyria; passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 12, 2022.

Will was born on January 15, 1984, in Elyria. Growing up, he attended school in Texas, then Will earned his GED while living in Elyria. He was a faithful employee of Mr. Rooter for several years and was loved by his coworkers.

He enjoyed everything to do with race cars and loved rebuilding a race car of his own. He enjoyed guns and target shooting.

Beloved son of William Gaines and Terri Amato of Elyria; loving father of Jesse J. Gaines of New London; brother of Trishia L. Gaines of Elyria; grandson of Georgia Sanders of AZ and Donald Amato of Strongsville; nephew of Sherry, Toni, Suzanne, and Danny; and cousin of Nathan, Ashley, Alexandria, Adreanna, Crystal, Randy, Justin, Carissa, Jamie, Allyssa, Heather, Jessica, Sam and Eric; and ex-fiancé of Lorie Boskovitch and daughters Ally and Breonna.

Preceded in death by his grandmother Shirley Gaines and uncle Mark Amato.

Memorial contributions for the continuing education of Will's son, Jesse, to be given to the family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 1-3pm and 5-7pm, with the funeral service to follow at 7pm at Busch Funeral Home 114 Second Ave., Elyria.
