William Arthur McSweeney

William A. "Buck" McSweeney, 75 of Bay Village, OH, passed away at Fairview Hospital on May 19, 2022. Buck was born January 27, 1947 in Lakewood, OH. He earned a Bachelor's degree at Parsons College in Iowa, and went on to a 30 year career as a merchant marine officer with Interlake Steamship of Middleburg Heights, OH. Buck enjoyed sailing, downhill skiing, camping, carpentry, and working on his house.

Buck is survived by son William Patrick McSweeney of Rocky River, OH; sister Helen Wilke (Alfred) of West Granby, CT; and niece Michelle Wilke-Olsen (Chad) of Somers, NY.

He is preceded by his parents William and Katherine McSweeney (nee Zwierlein).
