Vivian Smith, 81 of Elyria passed away March 29, 2022 after a short illness. She was born August 10, 1940 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Alexander W and Nellie May Stringer.
Vivian was an accomplished pianist and flautist. She was a lifetime member of the Musical Arts Council of Elyria. She was active in the Women’s Bowling Association and a donor of the APL. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, birdwatching, gardening, baking, musicals, live entertainment, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. She was known for her unique, flourishing penmanship, hand-crafted greeting cards, and creative rhyming voice messages.
She is survived by siblings Betty Wilson, Victor Stringer, Thomas Burrell, Bobby Burrell, Joyce Marie Burrell, Jerry Burrell, and Bonnie Burrell.
She preceded in death by loving husband William H Smith (2002) and both parents.
Friends may call the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second St, Elyria, OH 44035 from 2-4 Sunday April 3, 2022. Graveside service in the mausoleum at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon OH, on Monday, April 4, at 1:30.
