Born in Cleveland to the late Floyd Cairns and Pearl Packard (nee York); cherished brother of Barbara Ward (deceased), David Cairns, and Beverly (Angelo) DeCaro; companion of Patricia Gassert; best friend of Maria Cairns Yuras; loving uncle of Susan Brobst (deceased), Debbie (Michael, deceased) Long, Mark Brobst (deceased), Christine DeCaro, Angela DeCaro, Danielle (Josh) Baisden, and great uncle of Roberta Kiser and Hailey Baisden.
