Suzanne Seeley

Suzanne Seeley (formerly Owens), widow of John Owens and Harry Seeley, died peacefully at the age of 89 on August 20, 2022. After a number of hospitalizations in the summer of 2022, she found her way back to her home in Parma, Ohio. She passed in the setting that brought her the most comfort and was surrounded by family and friends. This is what she always wanted.

Suzanne is survived by her sons John Owens (Linda) and Michael Seeley (Melissa), and daughter Christine Kitson (Scott). She is also survived by grandchildren: Amanda and James Kitson, John and Allison Owens, and Carter and Reese Seeley. She was predeceased by parents Milo and Alice Meyer, brothers John and William, daughter Mary O'Bryon, son-in-law Michael O'Bryon, and grandson Michael O'Bryon.

Suzanne worked at Michigan Bell. Later in life, she was a noon aide at Green Valley Elementary School for 20 years. Her passion was caring for children. She also worked at Minnesota Fabrics. Suzanne enjoyed crime shows, sewing, and crocheting; however, most of all she loved being a mother and a grandmother (Gammie). While she was the biological mother of four, many others considered her a surrogate Mom. She was a 'Mom's Mom.' Although Suzanne endured countless tragedies in her life, she kept a positive attitude, was kind to everyone, and found strength in Jesus Christ. She was a peacemaker, always saw the best in others, and was a source of encouragement and comfort to those in need.

A private celebration of life will occur in September. In lieu of flowers, Suzanne favored donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Northeast Ohio SPCA. Cremation by Busch Crematory.
