Sukhraj Sandhu

Sukhraj K. Sandhu, age 83, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2022.

Sukhraj is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kuljit Sandhu, and her children, Raj "Bitu" Sandhu (Cecilia "CC") and Sonya Gill (Harji). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chloe "Harmeet" Sandhu, Rajsundip "Ajaypal" Sandhu (Allyse), Deepinder Gill, Vijay Sandhu, and Harpaul Gill. She was also great-grandmother to Sudari and Nixon Sandhu, and Ace (great- granddog). She was the firstborn of her siblings and is survived by her sisters Balraj Kaur, Inder Kaur, Sukhdip Kaur, Ranbir Kaur, Kawalbir Kaur, and brother Karanbir Singh Ratoul.

Sukhraj was preceded in death by her parents, Ajmer Singh and Avtar Kaur Ratoul.

Sukhraj was a long-time member of the Richfield Sikh Temple. Her hobbies included cooking which she was admired for and known to be exceptional at. She also enjoyed shopping and was so incredibly generous in her gift giving. She had a fond love of nature, especially flowers, gardening, and birds. She loved laughing and often found humor in the antics of animals and children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren bought her such joy and she expressed that with endless gestures of love that they truly appreciated and will cherish forever. Sukhraj will be most remembered by her loved ones for her strength and endurance, unwavering love of family, and her deep devotion to God to the very end.

Funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at 11:00am at Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH 44129. A crematory service will follow.
