Sandra "Sandy" Carder of Cleveland, Ohio went to live with the angels on September 20, 2022 after battling COPD. Mother of Jennifer Schroeder (Eric), Cynthia Coulter (Matt), Cody Cardenas, and Cassie Newcomb (Josh) who she loved dearly; companion of Mike Fraley; youngest sister of Brenda (deceased), Jim, Penny, and Mike (deceased); grandmother of 7; daughter of Walter (deceased) and Gertrude (deceased); "Aunt San" and friend to many.
Sandy touched many lives and became "like a sister" in her close friendships. She lived a rough lifestyle which caused her to lose touch with many family and friends, however, she tried to make amends where she could. She loved her family and friends deeply, even if she didn't always show it. Sandy loved camping and hiking before she became ill. She enjoyed reading, watching scary movies, and listening to country music. While under the wonderful care of those at the Malachi House and Crossroads, Sandy was able to go outside to feed the squirrels and watch the birds, which she loved.
Viewing hours will be Sunday, September 25 from 4-6pm at Busch Funeral Home, 4334 Pearl Rd., Cleveland, OH 44109. The service will be at 6pm.
Personal Note from Jennifer:
I hope this time with family and friends will bring us together to remember the good times we had with my mom. I know we have all taken different paths and there may be some hard feelings with those attending but, I hope that we can all get past that as we remember the good times you've had with my mom and those around us. Try to use this time to connect positively with those you see. I would love to hear about the funny and heartwarming stories that you remember about my mom. I love you all and hope to see you.
