Dr. Roland Francis Haag, PhD

Dr. Roland Francis Haag, PhD, age 80, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022.

Beloved husband of 30 years of Lee (nee O'Loughlin); loving father of Bridget Haag (Drew Kingery) and Eric Haag.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Dorothy (nee Klein) Haag.

He was a graduate of John Carroll University. He earned his doctorate in Ancient Literature and Languages from the Ohio State University, where he then taught for five years. He worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where his responsibilities included the signage for exhibits, and he later worked at Gospel Union Press as a proofreader.

He was a member of St. Albert the Great Church, where he served as a lector, and was very involved in the Adoptive Family Support Association.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thurs., Dec. 22, 2022, at 11:30am at St. Albert the Great Church, 6667 Wallings Rd., N. Royalton, OH 44133. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
