Richard A. Wainio

Richard A. Wainio "Dick", 90 years. Passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022. Dick was born on January 19, 1932 son of the late Jacob V. Wainio and Sigrid (Höagland). He was the last surviving of his five brothers. Former husband of the late Kay Nagele and Molly Clark. Beloved father of David (Anne), Richard (Betce) and the late Robert (surviving Amy). Grandfather of Julie, Adam, David, Katie, Stephenie, Morgan, Richard II, and Callie. Great-grandfather of Holden, Sam, Baylor, Jackson, Hailey, and Ellie. Survived by his dear companion Phyllis Pasterczyk and special care giver and friend Edward Belohlavek. Proud graduate of West Tech High School. Army Veteran (Korea) Lt. Tank Commander; National Guard (Army). Retired from 38 years at National City Bank. Dick enjoyed many outdoor activities (golf, tennis, hunting, fishing, hiking, etc.) and was an avid Tango and Ballroom dancer. He was a poet and has been a member of AA for over 40 years.
