The beloved Patricia Joann Rohrer, 88, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on February 14, 2022. She was a precious wife, mother, grandmother, Gigi, and friend. She loved her Lord, family, and friends deeply.
Joann graduated from Greenville College in 1956 with her bachelor’s degree in education. She taught in various states and substitute taught for years in the Olmsted Falls School City District. She was an avid gardener and had quite the green thumb. She worked at Uncle John’s Plant Farm for 11 years. In her spare time, Joann loved to sew quilts for her family and friends.
Joann was a member and attended the CrossPointe Community Free Methodist Church in Westlake, Ohio for 52 years. She was a Sunday School teacher, steward, CYC leader, and served in any role asked. Additionally, she was the camp cook at the children’s camp for the Ohio Free Methodist Church for many summers.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Howard; her children Wesley (Cheryl), Rebekah (Greg), and Darin (Joanna), her eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, nieces, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father E. Earl Thompson, mother Charlotte F. Thompson (Stanfield) and brother Donovan Thompson.
Friends may call at CrossPointe Community Free Methodist Church, 1800 Columbia Rd, Westlake, OH 44145 from 11:00am -1:00pm on Friday, February 18, 2022. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00pm at the church. Rev Nelson Blount, former Pastor of the church will officiate. Bural will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, OH.
