Mel Post, 81 of Sheffield Lake, OH., formerly of Rochester and Batavia, NY peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born to parents Cornelius and Julia (nee McConnell) Post on December 23, 1940.

Mel was a graduate of Batavia High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from R.I.T. and was employed as an Electronic Engineer for Taylor Instruments in Rochester and later retired from ABB Inc. in Columbus, OH. He enjoyed model airplanes, golf, bowling, archery, clock repair, woodworking, reading and tool collecting.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Ann (nee Bergeron); loving children Michael (Janet), Martin, Melissa Post (Miguel Villegas) and Matthew (Tiffany); cherished grandchildren Taylor, Jason, Jessica, Jacob, Natalie, Shelby, Xander, Shannon and Anna; dear niece and nephew Brian Post and Andrea Baer.

He is preceded by his parents and his brother, Dale Post (Shirley).
