Martha Kunz (January 3, 1928 - March 31, 2022)
Martha Maria Kunz, 94, of Parma Heights, Ohio, died peacefully March 31, 2022.
Martha was born in the picturesque mountain village of Dottingen, Württemberg, Germany, the youngest of the four children of Eugen and Magdalena (Simmendinger) Mohl. There she also met and married Jakob Kunz (1926-1993), with whom she emigrated to the United States in 1952.
As a beloved wife, and as the cherished mother of Rosemarie (Hruby) and Heidi, Martha devoted herself to her home and family, which grew to include Rosemarie's children Melanie (Schieber), Matthias, Michael, and Marcel, as well as Heidi's sons Benjamin and Curran Bullock. In the fullness of time, the family grew still further to include Melanie's husband Jürgen and their son Samuel, Matthias's wife Bea and their children Jakob and Johanna, and Michael's wife Hannah. Martha also turned her ever-busy hands to service, particularly in several German-American volunteer organizations. She was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church for over 60 years.
During her last days, Martha would say, "I love everybody." May we honor her memory by striving to do just that.
The Hospice of the Western Reserve was a blessing to Martha as she neared the end of her life. Those inclined to honor her memory with charitable donations may visit www.hospicewr.org or write HWR at 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland OH 44110.
Friends and Family may join for a Graveside Service Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11AM at Hope Memorial Gardens.
