Margaret Tielke Gobeille, 99, passed on November 30th, surrounded by her family and loved ones at Avon, Cleveland Clinic Hospital. She married her childhood sweetheart, Harrold L. Gobeille (Bud), shortly after he returned from World War II. Bud and Margie went on to have three children, Cheryl, Hal, and David. She was beloved by many, including her grandchildren Adam, Margo, Ellen, Joanna, James, and Jessie. She was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Ada, Ivy, and Wesley. Kathy Weist, niece, and her husband Bob, were also significant supports in her life.
Bud and Margie raised their children in Mansfield, Ohio and then returned to their hometown area of Rocky River and Bay Village. During her marriage, Margie was a mother, homemaker, and enjoyed many activities, such as bowling, knitting, crafting, volunteering in her community, and being near Lake Erie. Margie was an active member of the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church. Bud and Margie also loved their second home, "The Farm" and surrounding community of Dellory, Ohio.
Never one to indulge in her own self-interests, Margie continually showed a loving regard for the lives of others and always looked for ways to encourage and support her family, friends, and community. Margie spent her final chapter at Lakeside Assisted Living where she became a loved member of the Normandy family. Her lighthearted spirit, sense of humor, and eternal optimism were inspirational to all.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the care team at Avon Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Hospice, as well as the community at Lakeside at The Normandy. Margie would be pleased to know that donations in her name could be made to West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church in Rocky River or an animal charity of your choice.
A private family viewing was held at Busch Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be planned for a future time. Cards and condolences can be made online or sent to Cheryl Bell, 2360 Antigua Rd SW, Carrollton, Ohio, 44615.
