Luke Albright

Luke William Albright, age 11, slipped away from the pain and courageous six-year battle with neuroblastoma while surrounded by his family on Friday, June 17, 2022. He was born on April 28, 2011 into the loving arms of his parents Ryan F. and Megan K. (nee Collins) Albright in Westlake, Ohio. Luke was the younger brother of Liam F., and the family of four made their home in Bay Village.

Luke was a typical, ornery, outgoing and spirited boy. When he was feeling good he was outside, riding his bike and playing with friends. On cold or rainy days, playing would be inside with video games like Pokémon, Minecraft, Fortnite, and Apex Legends. And anything with Spiderman or Star Wars was an instant favorite. Luke was also kind, loving and generous. He liked to buy gifts for his friends and spending time with his family was always a priority. Luke had a lot of love to share in his short journey on earth, and he shared it far and wide.

Luke left a lasting memory with everyone in his life. He leaves behind to pay forward his love his parents, Ryan and Megan Albright; older brother Liam Albright; grandparents Alan and Noreen (nee Doyle) Albright and William Collins and Deanna Klosinski. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Rory and Mandy Albright, Andrew and Kristen Albright, Nora and Chris Zabik, and Edward and Meghan Collins; cousins Breana, Grant, Evie, Sonny, Rose, Clara, Bianca, Ivan, and Marcus; his furry friends Molly, Pete, Frank, Giuseppe and most especially Oppa; and all of his friends at Westerly Elementary and the Bay Village Schools. Greeting Luke on the other side was his grandmother Leanne (nee Challenger) Collins.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm for a visitation at Busch Funeral Home 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012. A Celebration of Luke's Life will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:00am at the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, OH 44012.
