Minister Kenneth Lee Tyler, 64, of Elyria, Ohio, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022. He was born to the union of the Late Elder Alonzo Sr. and Late Sis. Alice L. (nee Bass) Tyler on December 19th, 1957, at the Elyria Medical Regional Hospital, Elyria, Ohio. He attended the Oberlin City Schools.  Minister Kenneth was a phenomenal musician, songwriter, poet, singer, comedian, and friend to many people across the nation. His music began in Oberlin, Ohio, at the Glorious Faith Tabernacle under the late Bishop Oney D. Fitzpatrick Sr; and later attended Original Glorious Apostolic Church in Elyria, Ohio, sitting under the tutelage of Pastor Alvin Lindsey and the Late Valeria Harris. He was a former employee at the Foundry, L.C.C.A.A. Head Start, and Carter's Funeral Home in Elyria, Ohio. Minister Kenneth Lee Tyler served as the Minister of Music at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church for Forty Years. He also served many churches and community functions by playing the piano for Second Baptist Church in Elyria, The Sandusky District of the N.O.B.D.A., Lorain County Community Choir (Marantha), The Black Choir,  The Harris Sisters, The Arch Angels Association, Brothers in Christ, The A.G.A.P.E. Choir of Lorain County, The Katrina Mass Choir of Lorain County, Elyria's MLK Choir, and surrounding churches across Northeast Ohio. Former Mayor Grace also recognized him for his accomplishments in Elyria. Minister Kenneth Lee Tyler was a legend in his own right. He has written hit songs like "Lord We praise Your name," "I'll go," "There's a City Called Heaven," "He Promise," "Oh, How I Love Jesus," to name a few. Minister Kenneth touched many lives, never met a stranger, and helped those in need.  He leaves to cherish his memories to his brothers Elder Alonzo (Shaun) Tyler of Cleveland, Ohio, Johnny Croft of Elyria, Ohio, and Robert (Susan) Croft, Louisville, Kentucky; sisters: Denise M. Clemmons of Cleveland, Ohio, Patricia (Bobby) Calloway of Elyria, Ohio, and Valerie Croft, Belize, Central America, Care-Support: Evangelist Tommie and Deborah Harris, God-Son Christopher J. Gilmore, host of other Godchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

His parents, Elder Alonzo Tyler, Sr., Late Sis Alice L. (nee Bass) Tyler, and brother, Hendicott Croft, preceded death.

Minister Kenneth Lee Tyler Musical Tribute, Friday evening from 6-9 PM, Wake Saturday Morning from 9:30 AM until homegoing service at 10:30 AM, located at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 632 West River Road North, Elyria, Ohio; Pastor Calvin Currie is the Senior Pastor. Pastor Marcettes Cunningham, eulogist. Masks required. Interment will be Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin, Ohio. Flowers and Memorial contribution to Busch Funeral Home 114 Second St. Elyria, Ohio 44035
