Kathleen E. Reed

Kathleen E. Reed (nee Lipphardt), age 78 of Brook Park, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. Loving mother of Jason (Mondie), Bridget, and Matthew (Amanda); devoted grandmother of Kris Galehouse; dear sister of Dorothy McCabe (Bill) and Rebecca Kral (Marty); aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Florence Lipphardt (nee Shainoff).

Kathleen loved her cats, taking care of many felines over the years. She enjoyed her work at the airport and Dollar Tree, perfecting her skills in customer service. Kathleen was known for her green thumb, cultivating numerous plants. Her simple glance would help them grow. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, keeping meticulous spread sheets of team statistics. Crossword puzzles, reading, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune filled her spare time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Berea Animal Rescue Fund, 10015 E. River Rd., Columbia Station, OH 44028.

Funeral service at 10am on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH 44129. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park, OH. Family will receive friends from 2-6pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the funeral home.
