Karen Lee Dasko (nee Dierker) age 78, of Independence, Ohio was born January 30, 1944, and passed away on June 17, 2022, while resting peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family and loyal dog, Maddie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael A. Dasko and her son, Thomas R. Dasko. Karen is survived by her devoted children, Diane (Robert) Schentur, Michael Dasko and David Dasko; adored grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia and Charlie Dasko; and loving siblings, Richard Dierker (Deborah), Janice Hottmann, Susan Camp (Alan) and David Dierker. Karen was a person of tremendous integrity, with an iron-strong will, and yet her altruistic nature offered support for anyone in need. Karen embraced the motto, "Live simply, that others may simply live." She loved spending time with family and friends; strolling around her beautiful backyard; an occasional jaunt to places like England, Hawaii, Nova Scotia and Japan; a challenging crossword puzzle; a good Agatha Christie novel and listening to her classical music. Karen's wit, advice and listening ear will be missed by the many who called her "Friend", "Mom", "Kona", "Auntie K", "Grandma", "Cookie", "Kare", "Sister" and "Karen".
