Joy E. Heidler

Joy E. Heidler (nee Myers), 90 of Avon and formarly of Avon Lake passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022.  She was born April 21, 1932.  She was a graduate of Avon Lake High School and worked at Fruehauf, Avon Lake City Schools and later held various administrative positions for the city of Avon Lake before retiring.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

Mrs. Heidler is survived by her husband of 31 years, Donald R., son Richard Stroh, daughter Kathy Stroh, and stepchildren Donna Hawley and Debra Heidler; grandchildren, Jason and Justin Stroh; and step grandchildren Elizabeth Lerner (Hawley), and Katherine and Emily Hawley.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles “Dick” and Helen Myers (nee McCollum), son Marty Stroh, step daughter Darla Heidler, and siblings Russ Myers and Donna Uehlein.
