Joseph Anthony Wahr

Joseph A. Wahr, age 73 of Lakewood, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. Brother/Father/Mentor/Friend to Bruce Banfield, proud Godfather to Niko Banfield, and friend to countless others. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving his country honorably for over 4 years.

To say Joe had a passion for trains and cars is an understatement, as evidenced by his vast collection of model trains and his 1948 Packard Custom Eight. Some of his other favorite pastimes were camping, chatting with neighbors, napping after dinner, reading comics, watching classic TV series, spoiling Niko, and enjoying a great meal, especially with friends.

His brazen sense of humor, honesty, and lovingly stubborn spirit will be greatly missed, but we will forever treasure the decades of fond and colorful memories.

Memorial contributions can be made in Joe's name to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
