Jared Mitchell

Jared Adam Mitchell, 40, of Wildwood, Florida, formerly of North Royalton, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on Friday, September 9, 2022 following a brief but valiant battle with Pancreatic cancer. He was born March 8, 1982 in Warren, Michigan to parents David and Sheryl (nee Jenereaux) Mitchell.

Jared was a NASCAR fanatic, watching every race, and followed his favorite driver Jeff Gordon's career closely. He was an avid Mustang collector and owner and enjoyed putting scale models together and working on his vehicles. Growing up in metro Detroit, Jared was an avid hockey fan and always rooted for his Detroit Red Wings.

Jared married his love, Taylor Chapman in an intimate ceremony at his hospital bed on August 8, 2022. Prior to his illness, they enjoyed many adventures together and with their son Jaxson. His favorite adventure was to get everyone in the car and just drive until they were lost, where they would explore and then use GPS to find their way back home.

Jared was a mechanic at heart and thoroughly enjoyed his many jobs working with vehicles of all sorts. He worked for Parma Towing and Relentless Recovery in Ohio, and most recently was a "Cart-iologist" with Village Discount Golf Car in Summerfield, Florida.

Jared is survived by his beloved wife Taylor Michell and one year old son Jaxson; cherished parents David and Sheryl Mitchell; dear siblings Christine (Jamie) Miller and Cory Mitchell; loving nephews Ryley and Maxwel and niece Alice; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including his rescue cat Oliver.

Jared is preceded in death by his niece Lillian; his grandparents Lewis and Lyda Jenereaux and Robert and Barbara Mitchell; and his dog Thunder.
