Jim Leciejewski, 73, of Sheffield Village, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2022 following a brief illness. He was born January 18, 1949 in Bay Village, Ohio to parents Theodore and Frances Mary (nee Mackiewicz) Leciejewski.
Jim was the youngest of three boys and attended and graduated high school from St. Stanislaus in 1967. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball as a youth, and coached his sons in baseball. Jim was a hardworking man who always enjoyed helping others. He met the love of his life Nancy through his brother Bob who married her sister Sally. They were both helping Sally and Bob work on their new home.
Jim and Nancy were married on September 18, 1971 and shared almost 51 years of marriage. They were members of St. Stanislaus Church, where Jim served as vice president and president of the Dad's Club. He lent his talents to the maintenance and finance committees. Jim was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and UAW.
Retirement brought Jim and Nancy to Sheffield Village where they were making St. Joseph Church in Avon Lake their new spiritual home. Jim remained active and enjoyed working for the Lake Erie Crushers Baseball Team at Mercy Health Stadium in Lorain during his retirement.
Jim will be remembered most as generous, kind, and selfless. He was always very giving of his time and talents to his family, friends, and neighbors. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Jim is survived by his cherished wife of 50 years, Nancy; three loving children Thomas James Leciejewski (Noreen), Monica Noar, and Timothy Leciejewski (Linda); beloved grandchildren Andrew, Kennedy, Matthew, Sebastian, and Declan; and one brother Robert Leciejewski. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Theodore Leciejewski.
Friends and family may call Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm for a visitation at Busch Funeral Home 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 32946 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, OH 44012.
