JAMES DOUGLAS BARTEL, age 90 of North Royalton. Beloved husband of Carol Bartel (nee Lisy) for 65 years. Devoted father of Jamie Bartel (James Tennyson), Tony Bartel (Jodi) and James Bartel; loving grandfather of Madison (Rich), Austin (Maja), Jimmy (Marcie), Meghan (Brandon), Ryan (Beth), Brandon and Dylan; great-grandfather of seven; dear brother of the following deceased: William, Robert, Marion and Carol; cherished uncle and friend of many. Jim was a proud Veteran who served in the Air Force for four years and was an accomplished Air Traffic Controller with the FAA. He also enjoyed working many public air shows all while running his own real estate business. He was also very active in many community organizations. Passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Memorials may be forwarded to the Parma Animal Shelter, 6260 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134. Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA FROM 10:00 AM UNTIL THE TIME OF THE SERVICE AT 2:00 PM, THURSDAY, JULY 21. Interment at Brooklyn Height Cemetery, Cleveland.
