Jacqueline Ann Ahrens (nee Rivard) was born on February 20, 1950, in Saginaw, MI. Jackie was raised in Michigan and married her high school sweetheart, Norbert Ahrens. Together they moved their family to Napoleon, Oh. and eventually settled in North Olmsted, Oh. She believed in self-betterment and went back to school as an adult, while working full-time and raising two children. Jackie worked as a Housing Placement Agent for the Housing Authority, a job that brought her great joy, she believed that everyone should have a home and safe place to live.
Jackie was at her best when she was in her own home, she made it a beautiful haven for her family. She was a gardener and took great pride in her lovely yard. Her cooking was excellent, and she was known to spoil her family and friends with delicious food. She was a caretaker by nature and loved to dote on her people, most especially, Olivia, her granddaughter. Of all the roles that Jackie played, being a Nana was by far her favorite.
Jackie passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, November 25, 2022. She leaves her beloved Norbert, her husband of 53 years; her children, Ben Ahrens (Hannah), and Melissa Ahrens; her granddaughter, Olivia; step-granddaughter, Elyssia; brother, John Rivard (Brenda); and sister, Barb Bastedo (Bill); and her cat, Callie.
