Gregory Joseph Nespeca died unexpectedly of natural causes April 1, 2022. He was born on March 10, 1960. He was a Parma Heights resident for most of his life and a 1978 graduate of Valley Forge High School, where he excelled on the track and cross-country teams. He completed a BA in education from Akron University. Greg struggled with life after a car accident at eighteen caused severe injuries with a long recovery, but he continued to be a lifelong learner and excellent caregiver for his aging parents. He loved his family and friends, reading, birds, being outdoors, taking care of his home, his Mustang car, and Cleveland sports. He was always hopeful that things would improve, yet accepting of the way life was. He was preceded in death by his parents Achille L. and Pauline Moccia Nespeca. He is survived by his sister Paula Nespeca Deal, brother-in-law Bill Deal, niece Laura Deal, nephew Louis Deal (Sara), great-grandnieces Madelyn, Ella, and Claire Deal, and many extended family, including Charles (Chuck) Murphy (Mary Sue), aunt Dora Gaudi, plus many cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Divinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 11877 Blossom Avenue, Parma Heights, Ohio, 44130. Memorial service will be held later in the spring. Memorial service at Divinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 21, 2022 where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM.
