George J. "Mick" Wyrock, Jr., age 87 of Parma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Beloved husband of 50 years to the late Jean (nee Fischer); loving father of Mary Ruth, George (Laura), Jean Smole (Don), Diane Datko (Tony), and Janet Jaros (Brian); devoted grandfather of Michael, Rose, John, Daniel, Jennifer, Amanda, Jessica, and Julianne; dear brother of Richard "Dick" (Marie) and Terry (Diana); uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Ruth Wyrock (nee Kralik) and sisters, Sandy Noss (Doug, deceased) and Cheryl Beltz (Vic, deceased).
Mick was a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of John Carroll University. He worked as the Manpower Coordinator and State Liaison for the State of Ohio and retired after over 30 years of service. He was a long-time member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Mick was an avid Cleveland sports fan, nature lover, birdwatcher, foodie, and connoisseur of classic movies and music. He loved to joke around and tell stories about his experiences and adventures. "Papa Rock" adored his grandchildren and never missed special occasions in their lives or important events at their schools. He was known for his generous spirit, helping others, and making people smile.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 6750 State Rd., Parma, OH 44134. Prayers at 9:15am at the funeral home. Interment with Army Military Honors at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park, OH. Family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH 44129.
