Franklin D. Thompson "Frank" age 85 of Amherst Township, passed away on December 7, 2021.
He was born on January 30, 1936, in Oakhill, WV to parents James and Hattie Thompson (nee Treadway).
Franklin later served his country in the US Army for 4 years.
Franklin was a welder at General Motors and was a member of the UAW 1005 in Parma. He later retired from being welder after 30 years of hard work and devotion.
He enjoyed hunting, coaching baseball and was an avid Browns fan.
Beloved husband of Linda Thompson (nee Lemons) of 64 years; devoted father of Steven Thompson in Elyria Township, OH, Brian Thompson (Kim) in Elyria Township, and Ken Thompson (Leslie) of Elyria; cherished grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 4; and loving brother of Danny Thompson of Wadsworth, OH and Bob Thompson of WV.
Preceded in death by daughter-in-law Amy Thompson; two brothers, Arthur and Bill Thompson; three sisters Ruth, Dorothy, Francis, and his parents.
