Evelyn M. Minard, 90, Avon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. She was born May 22, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Lad and Mary Mirka.
Evelyn enjoyed serving others. Along with her husband, she started the Parma Hunger Center in the 1980s to fill a need in their community. She was very creative and spent time crocheting, knitting, and doing countless other crafts. Evelyn was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and especially bragging about her grandchildren.
Because Evelyn trusted in Christ as her savior, we take comfort in knowing she is with Him. "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no human mind has conceived the things that God has prepared for those who love Him" (1 Cor 2:9).
Evelyn is survived by her daughters Linda Gebhardt and Nancy (Bill) Mapes; grandchildren Ryan Gebhardt, Eric Gebhardt, Zachary Mapes, and Hannah (Isaac) O'Brien. She is preceded in death by her dear husband James Minard and son-in-law Timothy Gebhardt.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank in Evelyn's memory.
A private family memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
