Emblem

Earl passed away on December 26th at the age of 90, in his home in Bay Village. He was born April 24th 1932 in Cleveland to Claude and Catherine Miller. Earl attended John Adams High School and went on to serve his country in the Korean War (1950 - 1953). After serving, he attended Kent State University and rediscovered the love of his life, Mae Beatrice Woolson. Earl was a hockey player and first met Mae at the outdoor Winterhurst Ice Skating Rink. Married in 1957, they were blessed with 65 years together.

Beloved husband of Mae Miller (nee Woolson); loving father to Sandy Meadema, Pam (Mark) Shepard and Gail Barber. Grandfather to Ross (Katy), Sarah (Mark), Paige (Amir), Mackenzie (Kasey), Matt (Carly), Richie and Katie. Great Grandfather to Fallon, Will, Ellis, James, Carter, Camyrn, Ava and Holden.

Earl graduated with a degree in accounting but "couldn't show up at the same place every day" and went on to have a successful career in sales, retiring Oct 21st, 2022 at the age of 90! The accounting mentality showed through in is home office/workshop, his tools organized like a hardware store and all marked with a signature splash of orange paint. He was an avid outdoors man, loving fishing and hunting, loved cooking outside on a Coleman stove in all weather and telling jokes and limericks. Earl dearly loved his grandchildren and would be found teaching them to tie their shoes and giving them math problems to solve!

Earl belonged to St. Raphael Parish, the American Legion 211 and VFW Post 7647.

A private mass of Christian burial and celebration of life will be held at a later date. No flowers please. www.buschcares.com 440.933.3202
