Donald Louis Ledenican

Donald Louis Ledenican, 72, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away on December 23, 2021.

In his younger years, Don was a war hero, having served in Viet Nam. He was an entrepreneur who dabbled in real estate, started his own auto body shop, became an independent owner/operator of a big rig, and he created and bottled Catawba Island Iced Tea. He loved being outdoors (especially when boating and fishing), and spending time with his family (both two-legged and four).

He was a caring and loving husband to his wife Claudia of 50 years, as well as an amazing father to their two children, Michelle and Jeremy. He was avid animal lover, enjoyed gardening, cooking, and leaded glass. But his most accomplished hobby was restoring antique vehicles for which he won multiple car show awards. And while he enjoyed those hobbies, he loved being recognized as Santa's helper by young children more.

Aside from being survived by his wife, he also leaves behind his daughter Michelle (Steve), granddaughter Samantha, great grandson Jayce, son Jeremy (Denise) step grandsons Gregory, Ryan, and Clayton, and Don and Claudia's four-legged family member Barkley.

His Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Busch Funeral Home (7501 Ridge Rd., Parma OH 44129). Family will be present to welcome loved ones from 5 - 7 pm, and will celebrate his life beginning at 7 pm.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local animal shelter.
