Constance "Connie" Scott (nee Sancetta), age 86, passed away peacefully on February 1, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of the late Marvin Scott; cherished mother of Diane (Bob) Silva, Jim (Beth) Lorentz, Sue (Tom) Dieterich, and Mary Jane (John) Hull and stepmother of Ellen, Hans, Barb, Martha, Steve, Bob, Sue, Andy, Christy, and Patrick; grandmother of 31 and great grandmother of 14 and many nieces, nephews and cousins; sister of Marie (Ken) Dobos, and the late Jane and Tommy Sancetta; daughter of the late James and Madeline Sancetta (nee Valentino). She obtained a business degree from Dyke College after graduating from Shaker Heights High School. Later in life, she went back to college, while raising her children, and earned a Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for over 20 years. After raising her family in Chagrin Falls, she started a new chapter in 1989, moving to Hendersonville, North Carolina, marrying Marvin Scott and living there for the next 25 years. After Marvin passed away, she returned to Ohio in 2014. Connie was a talented artist who loved to draw and paint. She created scenes that turned into beautiful paintings and notecards. She was also an excellent seamstress and a marvelous cook, making clothes and favorite meals for each of her kids. She also enjoyed being involved in various groups within her community. In all of this, her most cherished role was that of being a mother, grandmother and nana, and great grandmother. Memorial contributions may be sent to: P.E.O. Foundation, Donate in her memory. Friends may call from 4-7 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Busch Funeral Home, 21369 Center Ridge Road, Fairview Park, OH 44116. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Saturday February 12, 2022 at St Bernadette Catholic Church, 2256 Clague Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.
