Brian Cerutti Howells
Brian Howells loved solving a puzzle, whether it was a dishwasher that didn't work or a New York Times cryptic crossword, and anything related to rockets. He enjoyed running, biking, and kayaking, and did beautiful work on his century-old home in Lakewood, Ohio. But his greatest joy and sense of pride came from watching his children grow and thrive.
Brian Cerutti Howells was born on February 18, 1964, in Lexington, Kentucky, the third child of Norman and Irene (Cerutti) Howells. He grew up all over northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, and earned a bachelor of science degree from Penn State University in polymer science. He worked for over 25 years at Tribco, Inc., first in Collinwood and then Warrensville Heights. He died on August 12, 2022, at home in Lakewood, Ohio, with family by his side.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Haylee Schwenk, his children Aidan Howells (Samantha) and Eleanor Howells; his siblings Ruth Morgan (David), Samuel Howells (Melissa), and Mari Howells (Gary Viebranz); many friends and married-into family members; and 13 nieces and nephews, most of whom considered him the "fun uncle."
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Ohio. A small memorial will be held at a later date.
