Annamarie Wurth (nee. Schmidl), age 94, passed away April 17, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Sigfried Wurth. Proud mother of Rosemarie (Charles) Martin, and Margret Johnson. Caring grandmother of Rachael (Mike) Dowd, Jessica Johnson, Jacob Johnson, and Sean (Amy) Martin. Dear great-grandmother of Arianna Fox and Anders Martin. Reunited in Heaven with her husband, Sigfried, her mother Sophia, and her siblings Heine, Melanie, Herma, Erika, and Oskar, as well as countless friends.
Annamarie was born August 5, 1927 in Bruex, Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia. She came to the Cleveland, Ohio area via Hamilton, Ontario with her husband, Sigfried Wurth, in 1955. She had spent most of her life volunteering for many organizations, including being a long standing member of the Altenheim Ladies' Auxiliary. She was President of the German Central Frauen Gruppe for many years and was voted German American woman of the year in 2004. She was a member of St. Albert the Great, through which she volunteered and cooked for and served the hungry at St. Procob's and St. Patrick's. She was a Honorary Trustee at GBU.
Annamarie lived a vibrant and multifaceted life. She made a fruitful career as a beautician for over 40 years. In her down time, she enjoyed bowling with her husband, playing cards with her friends, and tending a beautiful garden of flowers. She had quite the creative mind and could craft anything out of thread and yarn. Above all, she loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

A memorial Mass will be held Monday, May 16th at 11:30AM at St. Albert the Great Church, 6667 Wallings Rd, North Royalton, OH 44133. Interment at Hope Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will be held at German Central Farm, in the Vienna Cafe House, 7863 York Rd, Parma OH.
